 Survived & Punished is an all-volunteer grassroots coalition working to realize our vision of freedom for criminalized and incarcerated survivors and our communities. Our work relies on grassroots donations and your support is key to keeping the work moving.

Our work includes:

  • organizing in coalition with currently & formerly incarcerated survivors
  • developing policy research projects focused on decarceration efforts
  • supporting defense campaigns (including court watches, legal support, & letter-writing)
  • producing paradigm-shifting community education and media advocacy making connections between surviving gender violence and being targeted for criminalization​​

Sustaining Survivors Donor Campaign

Love & Protect is the Chicago affiliate of Survived & Punished.
The Love & Protect Sustaining Survivors Donor Campaign provides critical monetary support to incarcerated survivors and to build an emergency fund to support survivors in Illinois who have recently been released from jail or prison.
